3-D Coming at You!　　讓你身歷其境的 3-D 新視界

　　 Move over, 2-D; there's a new kid on the block—3-D. In fact, three-dimensional imagery has been around since the late 1890s. _(1)_
　　 How is it that 3-D images appear as if they were flying out at you from the screen? _(2)_ The way humans see things is called binocular vision. Both your right and left eyes see the same object from slightly different angles, so each eye actually sees a different picture. The brain then merges them into a single, unified image while giving a sense of depth and distance. _(3)_ During a movie, two images are projected onto the same screen at the same time through different filters. Each side of the special 3-D glasses worn during the movie contains different filters as well. This means that the same scene is being viewed by both eyes, but from slightly different perspectives. _(4)_ 　　This kind of tech nology is no longer limited to special movie theaters with viewers wearing uncomfortable glasses. _(5)_ The technology is already being applied to other electronic devices, such as mobile phones, personal computers, gaming systems, and televisions.
