Wouldn't it be incredible if you could control time? If you had the power to turn back time, you would be unstoppable. That is what everyone is after in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time1," the epic2 action-adventure movie based on the video game with the same name. In the magical lands of sixth century Persia, the forces of good fight evil ones over control of this god-given power. Dastan, played by Jake Gyllenhaal from "Brokeback Mountain," is an orphan3 from the streets who is taken in and made an heir4 by the king after displaying valor5 in battle. Prince Dastan comes across an ancient dagger6 capable of releasing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and give its owner the power to rule the world. However, there are dark forces trying to get the dagger. Thus, Prince Dastan joins forces with the mysterious Princess Tamina to protect the extraordinary dagger from falling into the wrong hands. Is all this in the gods' plan for Dastan? Make time to find out with "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" in theaters.
